There was a slight stale smell of smoke throughout the lobby since the casino connects on one end (in which smoking is permitted). We arrived at 3:00- no valet parking attendant in sight, no one at the front doors to greet us, and a deserted lobby area. Louis to see a band in a venue close to the River City Casino & Hotel, so the proximity and the price (cheaper than many downtown hotels) worked well.
